Sharing Is Caring

InsyaAllah, if all goes well I will be giving my first talk on breastfeeding. Well, not exactly the how-to's (coz I'm no lactationist) but more of experience sharing. I am super excited!

However just to book my date was a challenge by itself. The organizer had to change the date a number of times due to my unpredictable schedule. And this particular event will only take place in May!

Oh well, I really look forward for the talk and hope my experience will somehow help other working moms in facing breastfeeding challenges.

I was looking through some pictures for the talk when I found some interesting ones that were lost in the thousands of pictures taken of Raees and me. They bring back fond memories of my breastfeeding years...

...and the many months of MANUAL pumping. I'm still amazed that there was a time when this bottle couldn't hold all my milk from one pumping. I was a milk factory!

...and I saw a few things I miss. Like my favourite sunglasses that has gone MIA, my long hair which I have cut shorter recently and my much slimmer figure (I've gained, trust me).

And the best photos I found were definitely of chubby baby Raees...

A Breastfeeding Documentary - Finally!

I wonder why I didn't do this a long time ago. Breastfeeding was a big part of my life and Raees'. Yet the idea to produce a documentary on it occurred just a few months ago.

For this particular Magseven episode, I call it Feed The Future - a story about mothers fighting for their right to nurse in public and raise awareness on the amazing benefits of breastfeeding. Here's the synopsis:

"A group of women in Malaysia are fighting for a cause. And it is expected to raise many eyebrows.

Acress Dynas Mokhtar is joining the bandwagon in an effort to raise awareness on one of human's most basic needs.

Up north, more women are participating in the campaign.

That includes Connie Mooi - a determined mother who believes in giving only the best for her children. and she is on a mission to shun discrimination against breastfeeding."

So guys, mark your calendars: Sunday, 22 April 3.30pm and repeat on Tuesday, 24 april 7.30pm on NTV7. You may even see some familiar faces in it too :)

Battle Of The Tweeters

Remember my recent visit to Kelantan for MagSeven shoot? Well, the episode was aired last Sunday. I'm quite sure many didn't get the chance to watch it. But fret not, it will be repeated tonight at 7.30pm on NTV7.

If you're still wondering what MagSeven is all about, it's a 30 minute documentary...comparable to Majalah 3. I've been doing it for over a year already while hosting Bersamamu at the same time. Crazy job kan? But they're fun nevertheless..

I'm the researcher, director, editor and script writer for this show. A lot of hard work goes in it so I'm counting on you guys for support here. Check out the show tonight ok! :)

P/S: Or if you just can't wait to watch it, log on to tonton now :D

I Heart April

Quarter of 2012 is gone...just like that.

As April steps in, it's the month of celebration for my family. Birthdays and anniversaries..and yesterday just happens to be our 6th anniversary :)

Nothing much planned for this time. We'll be going for a vacation soon though. And that will be our third vacation this year. Amazing! This is to repay the 2 years of almost no holiday. Haha!

Anyways with the blog's 8-year history, it is filled stories from our dating days, marriage and many more wonderful moments. I'm happy to be able to share some of the important events in my life with you readers. But this time I'm running out of ideas on why I'm so blessed to have such an awesome husband :)

I've mentioned almost every anniversary about how understanding he is...of my job, mainly. I also wrote about how he always makes me laugh. And since we had he's such an amazing father to our little boy.

Sure, life is not always a bed of roses (maybe I've mentioned this before too, kan?) but we get through it. Whatever challenges we may face, we face it together and get through it eventually.

It's been 6 wonderful years and I look forward to many, many more years with my soulmate :)
