Open Wide!

Imagine opening your mouth as wide as possible as if yawning with all your heart. Except that you're not sleepy nor screaming in silence. You're just being...well, cheeky.

Yes, Raees has many ways of showing his cheeky side especially with his cousins.

Particularly this cousin..

That was about 3 weeks ago. However lately Raees changed his style of cheekiness. He still opens his mouth but not as wide...

That's because he decides to cover his bunny teeth as his opens his mouth. He does this oh-so often!

He maintains that look for a few seconds and then starts laughing or sticking out his tongue, all the while covering his teeth. Why? I have no clue. But it definitely is a very funny look that makes everyone around him laugh. Spreading joy to the people I presume :)

However cheeky his little wide-open-mouth-cover-my-teeth look may be, like many of his other cheeky antics, they come and go. But one thing that stays from the day he was born...the pout!

Can you count how many layers there are at his chin?

Extreme New Zealand!

Here's another one of my Majalah 3 stories from New Zealand. That country is considered 'The Adventure Capital Of The World'. So what's the point of going to NZ without trying out some of the extreme activities that they are well known for, right?

So I braved myself and went ahead with some of the activities that I had the chance to try. Was I scared? Totally! Was it fun? Absolutely! Will I do it again? In a heartbeat :)

On That Day

On that particular day...

1. A part time model was given a 'get out of jail' card...

2. Miss Venezuela was crowned Miss Universe...

These are just some of the newspaper headlines on that day...

My Time In Ipoh

For 9 months of my life, I didn't go out of Klang Valley border. But once I did, I got the ball rolling and I can't seem to stop! This time around I went to Ipoh for Raiyan's aqiqah.

The night we reached Ipoh, I watched the World Cup on a GINORMOUS SCREEN at the hotel. I didn't stay too long as I was getting sleepy.

The next day, I managed to take a nap before heading to the aqiqah at Uncle Rizal's house, as I foresee it was gonna be a long day.

Thoughout the trip, I noticed mommy wore me quite often. We brought along the stroller but it was never used. It's OK, I like being worn :) Here we are ready to go, as mommy tightens the sling around me.

She's an expert already! She can put me in and out of the sling on her own. My weight may be one of the reasons why mommy wears me more nowadays.

Daddy didn't wear me but he did dress like me.

We got the timing all wrong and reached the house just after the main ceremony ended. Sorry buddy! But nevertheless, we stayed there for 6 WHOLE HOURS!

Raiyan was put on the swing a lot, something I've never been on. Looks like fun...

Hmm..I'm curious to know how it feels like being swung.

As if reading my mind, mommy put me on the swing and back and forth I went!

Just look at me...I was shocked! My mouth open, arms at both sides of my head...I freeze in that position for a while. It was kinna cool but I don't think it's my kinna thing. I began turning over and tried climbing out of it.

Then it was time to eat. It was the first time mommy gave me food in the jar. As she offered a spoonful of it, I opened my mouth wide...

...bluek!! I didn't like it one bit! You should've seen the look on my face. I shoke my head, my body...everything. It was sour! Urgh...it's nothing compared to home cooked meal.

Had a glass of water to wash out the taste.

So it's was just mommy's milk to keep me filled for the rest of the day.

We went back home that same day, where my delicious home cooked meal was waiting for me. It may be a short trip, but still a lot of fun :) More please!

Your Worst Nightmare

I've written about Raees' many firsts but here's one of mine. The first time I went karaoke was when I started working in TV3 back in 2004. I then got Mer involved. Since then it has been one of our hobbies to release tension every month or so. Now with Raees around, we hardly do but we do try to go on our karaoke date once a while.

There was a request by one of my readers a while back to upload a video/audio of me singing. Hmm...it took me a while to think whether I should or not. I don't want to be the cause of my readers' nightmares. Hehe!

Anyhow, after many months of pondering, I've decided what the heck. But any nightmares that occur because of my singing is not my responsibility :P

Uh, by the way, please don't condemn me. Thank you!

From The Highway With Love

I fell asleep while reading in the car. It's quite a long journey. I wonder where we're going?

Hey, it's another roadtrip! Yes lah!

New Zealand Baybeh!

Here's the main reason why I was sent to New Zealand and left Raees for 9 whole days...kiwi fruits! After watching this report of mine, I'm sure you'll realise why I said I was overloaded with kiwi. Everything you need to know about the fruit...you can get it here.

IOU Majalah 3

I notice since Raees came into my life, it has been like a breath of fresh air at this blog. So much to share about the new boy on the block and face it, there's always something interesting to write about him.

However when this blog was first created, I was a fresh grad enjoying being jobless while job hunting. Then when I landed in TV3, it was all about my work. Those days seem so far away, kan? I don't think I've written about work for quite a while.

So I'm reimbursing what I owe you people about my work, mainly on my stories for Majalah 3. Each report by me is done almost 100% by myself - research, shoot, edit, post production and script. So it's a whole lotta work involved for a few minutes on the air.

Here's one when I went to Sabah and left Raees for the first time, it's called Tuhun Daing, aired on 24 April 2010. It's about fishermen at Pulau Matanani, Sabah, who dive into deep sea using homemade diving equipments...seriously! They claim to be able to go as deep as 50 meters. Craziness!

Animal stories are one of my specialties, besides military and science. I did one on the Malayan Civet or better known as musang. When I was out shooting this story a while back, I experienced my worse allergy. Here is it, aired in May 2010.

I will upload my New Zealand stories next. Hang in there..

Super Excited For The World Cup

Raees has always loved watching TV, since there's TV almost everywhere he goes in the house. Heck, even his mom works at a TV station :P

Among his favourite things to watch on TV are those often repeated like commercials and montages to my favourite shows e.g. TV3's station ID, Glee, American Idol

Usually he stops whatever he's doing and gives full concentration on TV. But with the World Cup season on right now, Mer tunes in to the FWC channel on Astro everyday whether to watch matches or highlights. I'm sure most of you know the World Cup montage that is repeated oh so often.

Raees surely does :)

Echo...echo...echo...

When we were at the hotel, Raees decided to test the echo at the corridor. We hung outside for a while and let him entertain himself. Turns out he entertained Mer and me as well. So why not let him entertain you readers too? :)
