I love my job!

I just got back from a 4-day trip to Johor and it's one of the best and most enjoyable assignments I've ever had :) Too bad I can't reveal too much at the moment. Don't worry I'll write as soon as the episode is about to be aired. As of now, I'll just let you people enjoy a few pictures taken behind the scene.

The people there treated me and the crew very well, the story was exciting and the shoot went perfectly. I'm quite sure it will be a blast once it's aired ;) I was so excited that I've started working on it as soon as I got back although it's not due to be aired too soon.

I just love my job and hope there will be many more interesting experience to come that I will be able to share with you people. Any more suggestions, anyone?

When I was 12...

Believe it or not, I was one of the tallest girls in class. My height was 156cm then (now it's 159cm). I was considered quite big for a 12 year-old girl. I went to the same primary school as Alia, Munirah and Heydeq - 3 people who remain as my best friends until today. But at SKTTDI(1), we were no more than hi-bye friends.

My hairstyle was in a form of a high ponytail, had huge bunny teeth and I was a hardcore rollerblader. I would jump the steps along TTDI Maybank corridoor with my fellow rollerbladers almost every evening. In fact, I rollerbladed to piano class all alone. I don't think kids nowadays have that freedom anymore.

I entered rollerblade races - easily won since most kids under 12 were smaller and slower than me. Hehe!

I would dress up in t-shirt and jeans most of the time. Plus my interest in rollerblades, that left my mom worried that I would turn out to be a tomboy. She once said "sometimes I feel like I have 3 sons". Ah well, look how I turned out :D

When I was 5...

I'm feeling rather nostalgic today...just bear with me. This is quite a 'cute' post actually, if it can described that way.

Here's how much I remember about 1987.

It was my second year at Villamaria Kindergarden in Damansara Heights. My cousin went to the same kindergarden as me, so I carpooled with my uncle, Pak Teh, in the morning.

At that age I was already very critical about my hair. My mom would do my hair nicely in the morning before she sends my dad to work. But there were times when I insisted that I want to do my hair on my own.

I took such a long time...my parents have left, Pak Teh was at the door waiting for me...and I was crying in front of the mirror coz I couldn't get my hair to look nice. Pak Teh would come over to help do my hair and I would stop crying only when it was nice.

I remember this happening at least twice.

There was one time when my mom trimmed my hair and I didn't sit still. In the end, my hair was fairly short. I stared at myself in the mirror and cried so hard...hehe!

I also remember being the 'blue eyed girl' at the kindergarden. I was part of the band (I played the triangle), choir (one song I remember singing was 'Lenggang Kangkung') and best of all I was the 'puteri payung' (direct translation: Umbrella Princess) in a stage performance.

I remember a few dayang (chamber maids) bathing me and later we were attacked by this evil monster. That was when my hero came to the rescue and we ended up getting married.

Funny thing is, during rehearals I never once held hands with the hero. But during the actual play, we did! That added 'value' to the play as we were both genuinely very shy, looked at each other then giggled..hehehe!

Those were the times...
